Feeling low in energy can be caused by many different things. Sometimes we need to play detective to find the underlying causes so we can insert the “recharge cables” into the right plugs. Make sense?
What does your energy low feel like and when does it occur? Answering these questions can give a first indication of where to look more closely. For example, do you wake up after 7 hours of sleep still feeling as tired as when you went to bed or possibly even more tired? Do you get up feeling rested but experience energy dips throughout the day? Do you get home from work and all you want to do is hide under a blanket and watch TV? Or, do you really start to wake up in the afternoon and then feel full of energy at night, when you need to be settling down?
Things that can make you feel low in energy, cause concentration problems or give you brain fog can range from too little or bad quality sleep, to eating foods that simply don’t give you the energy you need or foods and drinks that don’t agree with your body. Other causes include heavy metal toxicity, hidden inflammation and poor thyroid function. Chronic stress, emotional stress, a sedentary lifestyle or excessive physical activity can also take their toll.
Let’s team up as Sherlock and Watson to solve your energy mystery so you can enjoy your life to the fullest!
